01What you do today
Compared to what you do now.
For a business with no IT staff, the real alternatives are doing nothing, or calling a tech when it breaks.
| Attribute | Doing nothing | Calling a tech when it breaks | 365 IT Guard |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | Free until it isn't | Hourly, per visit | $7 per computer per month |
| You find out about problems | When someone can't work | When someone can't work | On the portal, before it stops someone |
| Is every computer protected? | Nobody knows | Only if you ask | One screen tells you |
| Small fixes | Someone googles it | Wait for the tech | One click, by the person at the PC |
| Bigger problems | Guesswork | The tech fixes it | Step-by-step help and video; call the tech with the report in hand |
Fewer calls to the computer guy, and when you do call, send them the report so they're not starting from zero.
02If you already have IT

04Wrong fit
When 365 IT Guard is the wrong purchase.
Said plainly, because finding this out during a trial costs you more than reading it costs us.
-
You want a person to do it for youThe app fixes the everyday problems when someone clicks. There is no person on the other end. For that, keep your tech.
-
You need Windows updates installed for youIt doesn't install Windows updates. That is the core job of an RMM.
-
You need someone to take control of a computer remotelyNobody, including you or us, can run anything on a computer from somewhere else. If a technician needs to drive the computer, you need an RMM.
-
You run compliance for a regulated businessWe don't claim SOC 2. Our security page states exactly what we do and do not have.
-
You use Macs365 IT Guard runs on Windows 10 and 11 only.
05Right fit
When it fits.
Four situations where this is the right trade.
-
Nobody's job is "the computers"So it lands on the owner, alongside everything else.
-
"Is every computer protected?" gets an "I think so"One screen tells you, and it works with the antivirus you already have.
-
The same handful of problems keep coming to youA slow PC, a frozen Start menu, a full drive. Most take one click.
-
You call a tech by the hour for small thingsFewer calls, and when you do call, the tech gets the report.
06Alongside
It works with what you already have.
Because 365 IT Guard doesn't install Windows updates, take control of computers, or enforce policy, it doesn't conflict with the tools that do.
It also works with the antivirus you already have, and with the tech you already call. Nothing here competes for control of the computer.

07FAQ
Questions people ask at this stage.
Does this replace my tech?
No. Fewer calls to the computer guy, and when you do call, send them the report so they're not starting from zero.
Is it an antivirus?
No, and you don't need to change the one you have. 365 IT Guard checks that your antivirus is on and up to date, whether that's Microsoft Defender or another product like ESET. If it's Defender, your staff can also start a scan with one click.
Is this an Intune alternative?
For most businesses, no. If you need what Intune does, you need Intune or something like it. If you looked at Intune and decided it was more than your business can run, that is the situation this was built for.
Is this an RMM?
No. RMM platforms let a technician work on computers remotely. 365 IT Guard doesn't. Every fix is clicked by the person at the computer, and nobody can start one from the portal.
Why Windows only?
Because doing one platform properly beats doing three shallowly, and because the businesses this is built for overwhelmingly run Windows.
